Jay Wright, Board President
Jay has been involved in music for 50 years, from lessons and band in school, to being a band director for 7 years, to spending the last 24 years as a Band Instrument Repair Technician / Shop Manager for The Music Shoppe of Normal. He also has performed in a couple local bands, and runs sound and plays bass for his church. His wife Rose is also a music teacher (29 years) and his sons Aidan and Sean have been in band, and Sean plays French Horn in Youth Symphony. Jay has been a member of YMI for 2 years and has served as President since 2020.
