Jason Shea
Jason Shea has been a music educator since 2003 in the Dunlap School District where he teaches Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Band. He is a graduate of Dunlap HS (1997), The University of Notre Dame (B.A. Music Theory 2001), and VanderCook College of Music (M.M.Ed. 2003).
In addition to his educational responsibilities, Mr. Shea is also a frequent performer in the area. He can be heard playing trombone, tuba, and bass with various ensembles including the Peoria Municipal Band, Prairie Wind Ensemble, Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra, JC and the Redemption, and Todd Kelly’s Water Street Stompers.
When he’s not teaching or playing music, Mr. Shea enjoys riding motorcycles and jet skis, skiing on fresh snow, hanging out with pets, and watching Star Trek. He lives in Brimfield with his wife Jill along with 2 dogs and 8 cats.
